Bratati Saha

Bratati Saha is an accomplished artist, educator, and performer of the Indian classical dance form Kathak and has earned a double Bachelor's degree in Kathak dance. Bratati Saha is founder and artistic director of Arpan Dance Academy in Virginia USA. Arpan Dance Academy is affiliated with Indian Fine Arts University, Pracheen Kala Kendra, where students obtain certification in Kathak.

Bratati began dancing at the age of three and has been performing solo Kathak for the past twenty years in India and abroad. She is a senior disciple of Guru Madhumita Roy, Guru Santosh Chatterjee, and Dr. Ranjana Srivastava and has had the opportunity to learn from Pandit Birju Maharaj. She has performed at prestigious events such as Indo-German Society, Germany, the 2007 International Women's Peace Conference in Texas, Wolf Trap, Kennedy Memorial Museum in Texas, the Indian Embassy, and Gyan Mancha Kolkata, India.

Bratati has judged at competitions such as Mayuri, University of Maryland (national level classical dance competition), FOBANA (Federation of Bangladeshi Association in North America), and Folk Dance Competition, Dallas, Texas.
